Hi I'm Walter Rossie Jr. and today life is amazing! It wasn't always like that for me. As a matter of fact by my early teens I started getting into trouble in school, then with the law and by 1995 at the age of 25 I was a criminal and led a violent lifestyle...

That year I had a profound spiritual experience and turned my life around completely. I stopped living a life of crime, but it wasn't until a chain of events that by 2005, I was no longer a fugitive of Texas. After receiving much specialized training in sales, public speaking, spirituality, and leadership, I feel that I'm ready now to share my story and take on living a life of impacting the lives of others. My recent projects include publishing my book, Escaping My Shadow that I've written with writer and co-author David Reisman and have made available free for the time being in the preview section of this website. My other project which is my true passion gives me the opportunity to give inspirational and motivational talks to people all over. I've recently created my core inspirational talk Escaping Your Shadow which will be delivered for the first time this spring.  Some of my favorite past work was in 2000 when I was President of Visioneer's Toastmasters Club #8839 in Duarte, California. That year, while still a fugitive from Texas, Club President and C.T.M., I led the club to its first President's Distinguished Club Award, highest honors from Toastmasters International, while also putting our club in the top two percent of clubs worldwide. While improving our communication and leadership skills, our club was dedicated to sharing the club's vision with the children in the local area. Alongside the Immediate Past President, D.T.M., Henry Ochoa, I had the privilege of working with children from Valley View Elementary in Duarte. 100% of the children that participated in the speech program also participated in the talent show that year because of their newfound confidence, and they did a great job. Later, in 2006 I was the Keynote Inspirational Speaker for some of those very same students from Valley View. Now, six years later, I'm at the Groundhog Mentor Day at City Hall for Duarte High School, along with local business owners, Mayor Tzeitel Paras-Caracci, in conjunction with America's Promise led by Ret. General Colin L. Powell, USA. My speech was about Nelson Mandela's fight against apartheid and main subjects included goal setting, positive role models, and never giving up. That day I was deeply impacted by my talk and realized that I had unfinished business at an educational leader training program that I had given up on five years prior. I then decided to leave a six figure income job to go back and complete the program I had essentially quit. After completing the program in three quarters of the time allotted, thanks to my coach who pushed me, I achieved being an effective introduction leader for a world-class educational organization. Soon after, I returned to Duarte High to deliver several inspirational talks for Mount Olive the Duarte High alternative school to speak for students that had been separated for infractions. I was invited back to speak at the "Power Man's Lunch" held at Mount Olive Diversified. On the days I was there I would also speak and deliver several sales workshops for the sales classes. After taking several years break from public speaking to write my book, I had an opportunity arise to speak at Birmingham Charter High School in Van Nuys for the Special Education Department and back again to speak for the Intervention Class.
